Dancer, choreographer, and model Ivanka Das is now all set to make her acting debut with upcoming digital series, #Mandi. Das is the first bald transwoman choreographer from the queer community and her shot to limelight was when she appeared on the reality show, Dance Deewane and even won accolades from judge Madhuri Dixit.

Coming to the show, Das will be seen playing the role of Kareena, a brothel owner and the show is about the journey of a girl who is in search of her sexuality and wants to explore her sexual boundaries too. The actress confirmed the same with an entertainment portal where she mentioned that her character is self-dependant and because she has gone through a lot in her life, she has become rather bossy as well.

On her decision to take up the role, she mentioned that the story is heart-touching and the moment she heard it she wanted to be a part of it because she relates to her on-screen character somehow. She concluded saying that she is grateful to producer Mohini Shabde for the opportunity.

Mandi was earlier titled Brothel and will steam on Prime Flix. Mohini Shabade, Ashu Dhaliwal and Akshy Mishra,  under the banner Mighty Grace Media will be producing it where Mohini has co-produced  Chak De Fame Sagarika Ghatge's upcoming Marathi film titled Monsoon Football in the past.
