‘Too much to handle’: Samay Raina BREAKS SILENCE on India’s Got Latent controversy

Samay Raina, who’s show India’s Got Latent has gone ahead to be a subject of discussion all across the nation from the past few days has finally reacted to all the ongoing public scrutiny.

Finally breaking silence after three days of the widespread public outrage, Samay, taking to his Instagram stories has stated that everything has been too much for him to handle. The popular stand up comedian states that he has removed all the videos of India’s Got Latent from his YouTube channel and that his only objective was to make people laugh. “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all Indias Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you,” Samay writes.

For the uninformed, what sparked the public outrage was Ranveer Allahbadia’s question to one of the contestants on the show, where, he was seen asking the said contestant if he would want to watch his parents have sec for the rest of his life or if he would join in and stop it forever. As soon as the said clip went viral on the internet, social media users slammed Ranveer for his question. The outrage further led to chief minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis’s involvement, where he was seen criticising the statements and also assured everyone of taking action. From multiple FIRS against the show and it’s contestants to AICWA calling for a ban on the show, Samay Raina, Ranveer Allhabadia and Apoorva Mukhija were widely criticised for their statements and the concept of the show. While Ranveer had released an apology video yesterday, Samay too has finally reacted to the same.
