New Delhi, Aug 18 (IANS) Actor Tom Alter is all set to host a radio show about issues related to the visually challenged.

Titled 'Eyeway Yeh Hai Roshni Ka Karawan', the show will be aired every Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. on FM Rainbow. It is being produced by the NGO Score Foundation.

'Tom Alter will anchor 14 episodes of the show. Each 15-minute will include interviews and profiles of visually impaired achievers along with features on important aspects of life such as education, legal rights, parenting and lot more for visually challenged people,' said George Abraham, CEO, Score Foundation.

The show will be aired in nine cities - Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Jallandhar, Kanpur, Lucknow, Cuttack, Bangalore and Hyderabad. 'It will also be uploaded on the website and can be heard on "eyeway",' said Abraham.

Conceived and produced by visually impaired people, the show was earlier aired on Vividh Bharati radio station. In February 2008, it was awarded the best radio programme in the Social Initiative category at the coveted Radio Duniya Awards.

'Today, the show has gained immense popularity amongst a large community of visually impaired listeners, their families, educationists, medical professionals and the public at large,' Abraham added.
