I have never seen him still on set or even go to the washroom - Pavan Malhotra on director, Tinu Suresh Desai

He said, "This is my third film with Akshay and my second with the director. Luckily, I have been a part of all amazing films with Akshay - Rustom, OMG 2 and now Raniganj. This film is as a true story as it can get. Even while shooting, the authenticity was constantly exquisite. Like Jameel Khan plays a miner and has difficult scenes to shoot; even the coal dust being spilt on them was real. As I have done Rustom with Tinu (Desai), I know he is a taskmaster.

He added, "It didn't matter who is the person in question. Be it Akshay, me, or anyone else; they have to do it; you have to do it - what is needed from you. I have never seen him still on set or even go to the washroom (laughs). I think people should see this film as the first time something like this has been done.:

Mission Raniganj is based on the story of Jaswant Singh Gill, a brave and diligent mining engineer from IIT Dhanbad who rescued 65 trapped miners at the Raniganj Coalfields in 1989.
