This Diwali, Saumya Tandon sponsors a child's education

Diwali brings renewed hope and happiness. It symbolises the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.

Actress Soumya Tandon best known as the OG Anita Bhabi of 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain' decided to celebrate the festival by doing a special gesture. Shefali decided to sponsor a child's education and spread smiles this festive season.

When asked about the same, Saumya said, "There are Diwali parties , decorations, lights, sweets, crackers and celebration everywhere. I feel nothing gives more happiness than giving. I plan to sponsor the education of my hairdresser’s daughter in a public school for a year. I helped her in the donation to the public school and years of school fees. I urge everyone to choose a deserving child who needs education and sponsor their education for a year or more whatever possible. This little gift will go a long way and change lives. This gift is more meaningful than burning crackers or throwing parties."

She added, "Let’s do a small bit to genuinely bring Diwali in someone’s life. Try giving it’s so much more satisfying than just spending. Happy Diwali."
