The sudden demise of Noor Malabika Das, Kajol’s co-star in "The Trial," has left the industry and fans in shock. The actress was found dead in her Lokhandwala flat on June 6, with initial reports indicating suicide.

According to The Times of India, Noor’s aunt revealed that the actress had been battling depression. Arati Das, Noor's paternal aunt, shared that Noor had moved to Mumbai with dreams of making it big in the film industry. She said, “We understand that Malabika was unsatisfied with her achievements, which forced her to take this extreme step.”

Reports from ANI indicate that a neighbor alerted the Lokhandwala Police about a foul smell coming from Noor's apartment.

Upon entering, the police discovered her decomposed body. During the search, they found some medicines, her mobile phone, and a diary.

Following the panchnama, Noor’s body was sent for a post-mortem to Goregaon’s Siddharth Hospital. Sadly, despite the police's efforts, no family members came forward to claim her body. Her last rites were eventually performed with the help of the police and the Mamdani Health and Education Trust, an NGO that assists with the cremation of unclaimed bodies.

Noor Malabika Das was 37 years old. She last appeared in the web series "The Trial," starring Kajol. The show had eight episodes. In addition to "The Trial," Noor had roles in various other series, including "Siskiyaan," "Walkaman," "Teekhi Chatni," "Jaghanya Upaya," "Charamsukh," "Dekhi Andekhi," and "Backrod Hustale."
