Kruttika Desai, who will be seen as Bua Maa in Sunjoy Waddhwa and Comall Sunjoy Waddhwa’s upcoming drama Meri Bhavya Life under their banner, which has produced shows like Desh Mein Nikla Hoga Chand, Saat Phere - Saloni Ka Safar, Shaurya Aur Suhani, Balika Vadhu, Tere Mere Sapne, Gangaa, Balika Vadhu 2, and Internet Wala Love, to name a few, is excited to have joined the show.
Sharing her thoughts on the title of the show, she said, “I absolutely love it—the word Bhavya is a homonym of sorts, as it is the girl's name but also has connotations of big, large, and great. The sound of the word Bhavya itself makes you visualize the girl”.
Meri Bhavya Life revolves around a talented interior designer, Bhavya, who faces body shaming and wants people to look beyond her appearance. Kruttika believes that people today try to fit in the definition of beauty, and the show comes at the perfect time to create awareness around it.

She said, “Today, the world has become incredibly globalized, and what is defined as beauty has become so homogenized that everyone has one concept of beauty, and everyone has to contort themselves to fit into that concept. Every woman is beautiful, and the beauty of each woman is different. Instead of seeing, nurturing, and appreciating that, everyone, including the girl, is running towards a mirage. At such a time, this show and what it advocates is really the need of the hour.”
Though she has herself not faced body shaming, she has seen it happening around her. She further said, “What is sad is the ones who body shame others are totally insensitive to the deep pain, grief, and loss of self-respect they are causing to the person who already has been struggling to find beauty in herself.”

Kruttika plays a negative role in the show, and she is quite excited about it. Sharing more, she said, “She is elegant, restrained, and poisonous.”
She has been associated with Sphere origin for the last 15 years now and has done four shows with them. She said, “It's my comfort zone, and we have a great synergy going—they offer me great roles, and I deliver great performances. (That's a joke, not conceit.) But seriously, we have formed a great working relationship with mutual respect.”
“Comall and Sunjoy are wonderful and large-hearted producers who always look after the people they work with. On the creative side, they know the pulse of the audience and are willing to take up unconventional subjects they believe in. That's how they have given so many hit shows,” Kruttika ended.
