Vikrant Massey’s latest film, The Sabarmati Report, continues to perform steadily at the box office. On its second Monday, the film earned Rs 1 crore, keeping up a consistent pace. Released on November 15, 2024, the political thriller also stars Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra. The movie showed better numbers over its second weekend compared to its initial days. However, after gaining momentum on Day 10, a slight dip was recorded on Day 11.
Directed by Dheeraj Sarna, the movie has been holding its position well at the ticket counters. The film opened with Rs 1.25 crore net in India and managed to collect Rs 11.25 crore in its first week. By Day 11, its cumulative earnings had reached Rs 18.81 crore. Though the second Monday saw a drop in collections, the film's overall performance has been appreciated by audiences and critics alike.
The film’s performance is expected to pick up further after the release of Pushpa 2: The Rule. The sequel to the blockbuster Pushpa: The Fire (2021) starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna is one of the most awaited films of the year. With the buzz surrounding Pushpa 2, industry experts predict a renewed interest in The Sabarmati Report.
Vikrant Massey has built a strong reputation in Bollywood with his impactful roles. He made his debut as a lead in A Death in the Gunj (2017) and delivered hits like Hasseen Dillruba, Chhapaak, and 12th Fail. Earlier this year, he was seen in Section 36, a crime thriller inspired by the Nithari killings.
Fans have praised Massey’s performance in The Sabarmati Report, calling it intense and compelling. The movie continues to find its audience, supported by positive word of mouth and steady earnings.
