“The doctors tried their best but could not save him”: Randhir Kapoor breaks down as brother Rajiv Kapoor is no more

It is a dark day for the Kapoor family as actor-producer-director, Rajeev Kapoor is no more. Raj Kapoor's youngest son, Rajiv Kapoor, passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest at the age of 58. 

Rajiv’s elder brother and actor Randhir Kapoor is deeply saddened with the loss of his brother and confirmed the news of his brother's sudden demise to ETimes by saying, "I have lost my youngest brother, Rajiv. He is no more. The doctors tried their best but could not save him. I am at the hospital, waiting for his body."

According to reports, Rajiv Kapoor suffered a cardiac arrest, following which his elder brother Randhir Kapoor rushed him to the Inlaks Hospital, near their residence in Chembur. The doctors reportedly declared him dead on arrival.

Neetu Kapoor was the first one to share the heartbreaking news as she posted a picture of late Rajiv Kapoor as she wrote “RIP” with a folded hand emoji.

Rajiv Kapoor's shocking demise has come as a big blow to the Kapoor family and sisters Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor were spotted in Bandra as they left to bid their final goodbye to their paternal uncle.
