Tees Maar Khan gets U/A certificate

Of recent rise in the movies that hit a brick wall with the censor board, Farah Khan's third directorial venture, Tees Maar Khan only augments the long list.

The strict panel demanded
many cuts in the Akshay-Katrina starrer if it still wanted to gain the U certificate it was aiming for. A few of the eighteen cuts included; the word "Sheila" from the already chart-topping number "Sheila Ki Jawani" to be removed and a few scenes that displayed Katrina's naval. The board also did not approve of the phrase "Maa Ki Aankh" or words such as "tawaif", among other objectionable usage of slang/cuss words.

Naturally Farah was quite unhappy with the demands. In bid of not losing the U certificate while still retaining the requested deleted scenes, Farah was left with no option but to pay the revising committee in Delhi a visit. After a review of the film, the committee begged to differ from the censor board and passed the film post a couple of cuts which were approved by Farah. According to them, there was nothing wrong with the film.

The certificate should be passed early next week.
