Tanu Weds Manu 3 plot to focus on Kangana Ranaut and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub's characters?
In a recent interview, actor Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub gave insights about the making of the third installment of Tanu Weds Manu and what fans can expect out of it.
Tanu Weds Manu, is without a doubt, one of Bollywood's most acclaimed and hugely successful rom-com franchises. It has almost overwhelming rave reviews, and the box office results speak for themselves with Tanu Weds Manu Returns being the highest-grossing female-centric movie in Bollywood history.
However, that film was released in 2015, and given its popularity, filmmaker Aanand L. Rai and screenwriter Hiimanshu Sharma would have been anticipated to release the third installment of the Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan-led film earlier.
In an interview with BollywoodLife, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, who represented Advocate Arun aka Chintu Kumar Singh in Tanu Weds Manu Returns, stated that screenwriter Himanshu Sharma has been playing with the notion of centering part 3 around his and Kangana Ranaut's characters. Now, as intriguing as that may sound, there's a catch.
Himanshu Sharma has been tossing around this concept in fun for some time, according to Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, but nothing serious or solid has come out of it. However, when he was asked about Tanu Weds Manu 3, he prompted on encouraging the writer to jot down his comments and urge the production to move forward with the concept to centre the third installment on his and Kangana's characters.
In the same interview, he gave an insight on Tandav season 2, saying,
“I'll be very happy to return to Tandav with the rest of the cast. But, frankly speaking, I haven't heard anything about it yet, there has been no discussion as far as I know. The makers alone will be the right people to answer that, you'll have to ask them. Hopefully, Tandav season 2 will happen soon.”
Zeeshan Ayyub played Shiva Shekhar, one of the central protagonists in the Amazon Prime web series Tandav.
