Actor Nikitin Dheer expressed outrage over the media’s insensitive coverage of veteran actors Dharmendra and Jeetendra. Taking to Instagram on Thursday, he described the paparazzi as “despicable” and likened their behaviour to that of vultures.

In his post, Nikitin wrote, “I lost a piece of my heart recently and witnessed first hand how despicable the so called paparazzi can be. It doesn't feel like you're talking to fellow human beings, it feels like you're encircled by vultures.”

He condemned the filming of Jeetendra during his fall at Zarine Khan’s prayer meet, calling it a clear exploitation of vulnerability for views. “I have lost a lot of respect for them when I saw the way they filmed Shri Jeetendra and used his vulnerability for views. Now again the way they are behaving when Shri Dharmendra is unwell, it's just sad. As a society, is likes and views all that's left of us,” he added.

Nikitin also urged the media to consider the emotional impact on families. “Such a demise of humanity. Aise samay logon ka tamasha mat banao. How can you be so insensitive to others. Try and understand, what people are going through. I am sure none of my words will make any difference, but one can't just sit and watch this nonsense keep happening,” he said.

Earlier on Thursday, other celebrities, including Ameesha Patel, Karan Johar, and Madhur Bhandarkar, had called for privacy and respect for the Deol family. Sunny Deol was also seen losing his temper at media persons stationed outside the residence.

The incident comes after a video from Breach Candy Hospital surfaced online, showing Dharmendra lying on a hospital bed surrounded by his family, including sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, while his first wife, Prakash Kaur, was seen weeping. The clip quickly went viral.

Adding to the distress, several channels falsely reported Dharmendra’s death on November 11. Both Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol condemned the misinformation. The 89-year-old actor has been under medical supervision for over a week after complaining of breathlessness. Despite the social media frenzy, his family continues to focus on his treatment and recovery.
