Tahira Kashyap's open and honest journey with breast cancer has been a source of comfort and inspiration for many. After overcoming the disease, she dedicated herself to personal growth and even made her directorial debut. However, her fans were heartbroken when she recently revealed the recurrence of her breast cancer after being in remission for seven years.
In a heartfelt post on Friday, Tahira Kashyap shared a glimpse into her hospital diaries, revealing the profound connection between hospitals and music. She described her recent visit for scans and imaging, highlighting how her doctor played the song "Kal Ho Naa Ho" to uplift the atmosphere.
https://www.instagram.com/p/DISzRMHIehB/?igsh=aXVjY3QxZ2Z3dzJsAs I entered the scanning and imaging area, the doc there, perhaps in his attempt to make the mood lighter, had his playlist on. This was the song that was playing as I lay down, ready to be taken inside! I gulped and said, "Sir I appreciate your gesture but pls isse toh band hi kardo!

As she entered the operation theatre, witnessing the surgical instruments being meticulously arranged, a familiar tune echoed in her mind – "Chakku Chhuriyan Tez Kara Lo" from the film Zanjeer.
"In the OT the lovely anaesthesiologist asked me which song would I like to listen to before being knocked out. I saw all the tools coming in and being prepped in the trays. This was the song playing in my head!" her next slide reads.
In her third slide, she featured the song "Pehla Nasha" and recounted overhearing a conversation between a 70-year-old woman and a young patient sharing their love story. "Hours after the surgery, the doc asked me to take a few laps around the corridor. Little did I know that I would become privy to other patients' choice of consuming news. This 70-year-old lady, with her room's door slightly open, was eagerly listening to an actor's love life and the revelation of his latest relationship. A few minutes later, I saw her rushing out of her room, racing past me. I can swear I heard her exclaiming, 'agar yeh itna dangal macha sakten hain toh main kyon nahi!' I always knew the influence of cinema both on and off the screen!" her third slide states.
Each slide had different songs, perfectly chronicling her day at the hospital.
Recently, writer and director Tahira Kashyap shared the news of her second breast cancer diagnosis on Instagram. In her post, Ayushmann Khurrana's wife candidly discussed her experience with the illness, referring to it as "round 2."
