Taher Shabbir & Niki Walia Bag Netflix’s Guilty!

After the success of series like Sacred Games, Ghoul, Leila, Netflix India is now gearing up for the launch of five upcoming projects with popular banners. On the one hand, Shahrukh Khan’s home production Red Chillies Entertainment is bringing a soul-stirring horror series, ‘Betaal’ and Anushka Sharma is set to produce ‘Mai’. On the other hand, Producer and Director Karan Johar has announced his digital movie titled Guilty, starring Kabir Singh fame Kiara Advani in lead role. Now, the makers have locked few more actors for the upcoming movie.

According to reports, veteran actress Niki Walia who was last seen in Puncchbeat and Bepannah fame Taher Shabbir have been roped for Karan Johar’s Guilty. Apart from them, Manu Rishi Chadha (Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!), Gurfateh Singh Pirzada (Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele) and Fahad Ali (The Buddy Project) are also a part of the movie.

The drama film, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic (Dharma Productions’ digital content arm) and directed by Ruchi Narain, is slated to release on Netflix later this year. 

Produced by Dharmatic and directed by Ruchi Narain, Guilty explores the different versions of truth that emerge when a small-town girl accuses the college heartthrob of rape. Seen through the eyes of his musician girlfriend, this story makes us question who is truly “guilty” in such circumstances.
