Tabu and Akshay Kumar Reunite After 25 Years for Priyadarshan's Bhooth Bangla

Tabu and Akshay Kumar have reunited after 25 years for Priyadarshan's upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla. The duo, who previously collaborated on iconic films like Hera Pheri and Tu Chor Main Sipahi, shared a heartwarming moment on set, marking their much-anticipated reunion.

On Wednesday, the makers of Bhooth Bangla took to social media to share an endearing picture of Akshay Kumar welcoming Tabu with a warm hug on the film's set in Jaipur. The caption read, “Some things get better and iconic with time! @priyadarshan.official, @akshaykumar and @tabutiful are back in action after 25 years for #BhootBangla in Jaipur.”

The film also brings Tabu back with director Priyadarshan and actor Paresh Rawal, recreating the magic of their last collaboration in the cult classic Hera Pheri.

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla is a horror-comedy produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms, in association with Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films. Co-produced by Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali, the film’s story is penned by Akash A. Kaushik, with a screenplay by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair, and Priyadarshan. The film is set to hit theatres on April 2, 2026.

In addition to Bhooth Bangla, Akshay Kumar has several exciting projects lined up. He will next be seen in Sky Force, directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani. The film, which stars Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur, focuses on India’s retaliatory attack on Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase during the Indo-Pakistani Air War of 1965. Sky Force is slated for a theatrical release on January 24, 2025.

Akshay will also reprise his role in Housefull 5, set to release in June this year, featuring an ensemble cast including Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, Abhishek Bachchan, and Fardeen Khan.
