Taapsee Pannu Reveals she was Advised to Abandon performing in Women-Centric Films!

Taapsee is gradually making her way to the top and the actress has worked with some of the best actors and directors in the industry. Being mindful of her choices she has always looked towards the best. Over the years, Taapsee has managed to cleanse her choices in regards to good meaningful scripts. She is known for doing women-centric movies, but it seems some aren't happy with the same.

During a recent media interaction with Zoom TV, Taapsee has revealed that she’s been advised by some people in the industry to shift her focus from women-centric films as they feel she was doing too many of them. 

I have been advised by people in this industry that you should let men take the centre stage now. You are only doing women-centric films. When I tell them that I also did Mission Mangal, they say but that’s again a strong female character. Toh kya karu? Kuch bhi flimsy sa role kar lun?

Previously, the Pink actress was criticized for performing in Judwaa 2. When asked about the same, Taapsee said, “Yes, that I did only to prove that I can also do this. Don’t put me in a box. But today, I am in a position that when I do a commercial film, the character will have something for sure. That I can command today.”

On the work front, Taapsee Pannu was last seen in the film Saand Ki Aankh. Currently, she has been working on her upcoming films - Thappad, Tadka and Rashmi Rocket.
