Sushant’s father KK Singh clarifies “I am the Legal Heir of late Sushant Singh Rajput” in his Official Statement!

The entire nation saw a big development in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death investigation as the apex court has directed CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) investigation into the mysterious death of the late actor. Sushant’s family members, fans, and even Bollywood celebrities were overwhelmed by the Supreme Court’s verdict.

A recent Times of India report quoted Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh’s statement which was issued after the hearing. Singh in his statement termed himself as the legal heir of Sushant and barring anyone from representing the actor.

It is hereby declared that I am the legal heir of late Sushant Singh Rajput and in that capacity, any arrangement that Sushant had during his lifetime for the engagement of any lawyer, Chartered Accountant and other professional came to an end upon the death of Sushant and thereafter no lawyer, Chartered Accountant or another person is entitled to represent the estate of Sushant without my express consent.

While the SC has finally raised the green flag for CBI probe, the late actor’s case seems a step closer to attain closure for his family. However, while issuing his statement, KK Singh barred those who may have spoken about an alleged privileged communication between them and Sushant.

He said “They have talked on media about the alleged privileged communication between Sushant and them. Clearly such disclosure is barred by section 126 of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 and the Bar Council of India Rules [Rule 17, Part VI, Chapter 1ft, without my consent as I am representing the estate of Sushant. I have not given any consent to anyone of them to either continue to represent Sushant or disclose any communication barred by section 126 of Evidence Act, 1872.” 

Sushant’s father also highlighted that apart from him and his daughters, anyone else claiming to be a family member of Sushant does not have his consent.

It is also made clear that only I and my daughters comprise the family of Sushant and we have authorized Varun Singh (SKV Law Offices, Commercial) as our Advocate and through him Vikas Singh, Sr. Advocate, to represent the family. Any other person claiming himself to be family member does not have my consent.

Reportedly, the Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered the CBI to probe into the mysterious suicidal death (June 14, 2020) of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Soon after his death, many on social media platforms alleged that the actor was murdered and requested a detailed investigation of his case. Last month, the late actor's father KK Singh filed an FIR in Patna, Bihar, against his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and demanded a CBI probe in his case.
