Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death shocked the entire nation and fans found it difficult to accept the fact that the talanent actor would no longer be seen on the big screen. Even celebrities are mourning the death of the 34-year-old and many spoke out on the importance of mental health as well.
The Chhichhore actor reportedly passed away due to suicide and after hanging himself to death in his room. Meanwhile, fans and Bollywood celebs have been offering condolences to Sushant’s family.
A report in Indian Express suggested that Sushant’s father K K Singh told the police on Tuesday that his son would often feel “low” but was unaware why he was depressed.
K K Singh’s statement has been recorded by police on Tuesday before he flew back to Delhi.
A senior Mumbai Police official revealed, “The family informed us that they do not know why Sushant was depressed and also did not mention if they had any suspicion on anyone.”
Meanwhile, a preliminary post-mortem at Cooper Hospital confirmed the cause of death as asphyxia due to hanging. Thus far, the police have recorded statements of nine people close to him, including his family members, cook, caretaker and managers.
Furthermore, the Police officials also highlighted no foul play has been suspected. The police also spoke to Siddharth Pithani, Rajput’s creative manager, to understand the state of the actor’s finances, business dealings and his profile in the film industry.
“We had recorded the preliminary statement of the creative manager on Sunday and have called him once more,” added the police official.
A few weeks ago before leaving for heavenly abode, Sushant shared an emotional Instagram post for his late mother. He wrote, "As long as you were, I was. Now just in your memories I come alive. Like a shadow, Just a flicker. Time doesn’t move here. It’s beautiful, It’s forever…Do you remember? You promised that you would be with me forever, and I promised you that I would keep smiling no matter what. It seems we both were wrong mother…"
