The entire nation is shocked by the untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput and fans are mourning the loss of a talented actor. Similarly, even Bollywood actors including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and others have expressed their grief over Sushant Singh Rajput's death and extended condolences to his family.

Clearly, Sushant held a high pedestal in everyone's hearts including his alma mater as well. The actor was a student at Delhi Technological University, formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering are reported to organize a prayer meet after Sushant’s last rites have been performed.

A Times of India report claimed that Sushant's prayer meet was earlier scheduled to take place on Monday in evening but the college has postponed it now.

Anoop Lather, PRO, DTU, says, "We will organise the prayer meet for Sushant only after his last rites have been performed. We will wait for the prayer meet till then and will organise it only after that."

For the uninitiated, the 34-year-old previously learned Mechanical Engineering from the college but had dropped out in his third year to pursue acting.

DTU mourned the actor’s sudden demise on Sunday and released an official statement which read, "DTU family is extremely shocked and sad at the sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput who was our Alumni (Batch of 2003, Mechanical Engineering). He was not only a popular actor but was also a popular student of DTU-DCE. This news has come as a great loss to the institution as a bright alumnus and proud DTU-DCEite has left for the heavenly abode. Our sincere prayers go out to his family in this difficult time."

Sushant Singh Rajput reportedly committed suicide. An ANI report stated that Sushant was depressed and had been taking treatment for the same. The case is being investigated by Mumbai police. The news of the young actor's sudden demise has sent shock waves all across the nation.
