Sushant Singh Rajput update: CBI likely to re-register an FIR; Rhea Chakraborty summoned by ED

The Sushant Singh Rajput case has finally been given a nod for a CBI probe on Wednesday and now, new developments keep coming in. The latest we hear is that CBI plans on re-registering an FIR, earlier filed by the Bihar Police as far as the case filed against Rhea Chakraborty is concerned. The said case was filed by Singh's father KK Singh against Rhea Chakraborty for multiple reasons, including abetment to suicide and cheating.

As per the recent reports, the CBI officials will go to Patna in order to collect the files and other relevant material from the Bihar police and might also summon Rhea to question her further. However, it is only after the collection of all the documents that CBI will be taking the next step as far as the probe is concerned.

In addition, the Enforcement Directorate has also summoned Rhea for questioning on Friday regarding two of her property invested tracked by them in Mumbai. Since Sushant's father alleged that she has stolen money from Rhea's account, a money-laundering case has been initiated by ED and an investigation will be underway once the actress responds.

Sushant died of suicide on June 14, 2020, and until the FIR was filed in Patna, the case was being investigated by Mumbai Police. Over 50 people have been questioned regarding the case including the statements from Mahesh Bhatt, Kangana Ranaut, and others.
