In a recent interview,  Sunny Deol became emotional as he revealed a hidden gem - a deleted scene from his iconic 1997 war film, Border. During a conversation on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, Sunny conveyed that soldiers now consider him one of their own due to his portrayal in Border

He spoke with immense pride about the movie and discussed the rising interest in a sequel sparked by the recent success of Gadar 2.

When asked about his favourite Border scene, Sunny reminisced, "There was a scene that didn't make it to the final cut. It was a beautiful scene penned by JP Dutta's father. Towards the film's end, I'm near a small temple, and as I look back, I see the flicker of firelight from a destroyed bunker."

He described how he approaches the scene, where fallen soldiers are gathered around a fire, engaging in conversation. He consoles them, promising to care for their families, mend broken roofs, and talk to their mothers. The emotion-laden moment choked him up. He explained that despite its beauty, the scene had to be excluded due to time constraints.

The actor's emotions surged again when reflecting on the blockbuster success of Gadar 2, rapidly approaching the remarkable 500-crore milestone at the domestic box office.
