Sunny Deol's Juhu property auction cancelled; Bank of Baroda cites technical reasons

Bollywood actor Sunny Deol recently found himself making headlines for both his box office success and financial challenges. His latest film, Gadar 2, set the box office ablaze, garnering remarkable numbers and further cementing his stature in the industry. Despite his professional triumphs, recent reports revealed a financial hurdle that had the potential to shake his world specifically concerning his Juhu property. Reports surfaced that the actor had failed to clear outstanding dues amounting to a staggering Rs 56 crore for this property, leading to the possibility of its auction.

Yet, in a surprising twist of events, the Bank of Baroda, the entity responsible for the potential auction, decided to withdraw the auction notice citing technical reasons. A corrigendum was issued, stating that the auction notice for Sunny Deol's Juhu property was being retracted due to these technicalities. 

The statement clarified the situation and read, "Corrigendum to E Auction Sale Notice... Stands Withdrawn due to Technical Reasons for the below mentioned Property... Bearing New Municipal assessment No. 00121047 situated in registration District and Sub district of Mumbai Suburban." Earlier reports had highlighted that Sunny's prized property in the posh Juhu area of Mumbai, known as Sunny Villa, was being put up for sale due to unpaid debts.

 This property held special significance for the Deol family as it housed their office and a post-production studio, Sunny Super Sound. The Bank of Baroda had issued a notice to Sunny Deol, warning that failure to settle the outstanding dues of Rs 55.99 crore would result in the virtual auction of his property on September 25. Interestingly, the loan amount had been taken by Sunny with his father Dharmendra acting as the guarantor, adding a familial twist to the financial predicament. As of now, Sunny Deol has refrained from making any official comments regarding this situation.
