SS Rajamouli's upcoming next to have Mahesh Babu's character inspired by Lord Hanuman

Reportedly, Mahesh Babu's character in SS Rajamouli's upcoming next will be inspired by Lord Hanuman.

SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu

SS Rajamouli is one of the most celebrated directors in Indian Cinema, known for his blockbuster films like Magadheera, Eega, Bahubali, Bahubali 2, and RRR. His next film, which is currently in the writing stage, is a jungle adventure featuring Mahesh Babu and is expected to go on floors by the end of this year. The film is highly anticipated and is targeting a late 2025 release in cinema halls worldwide.

According to a report from Pinkvilla, Mahesh Babu's character in the film is inspired by Lord Hanuman, who is known for his strength and courage in the jungle. The film, despite being an African Jungle Adventure, will have roots in Indian culture, as Rajamouli often takes inspiration from Ramayana and Mahabharata. In fact, the trajectory of the character will follow the route of Ramayana, but with a unique twist given by SS Rajamouli.

This is not the first time Rajamouli has sourced material from Indian epics such as Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Amar Chitrakatha. His previous film, RRR, also had an Indian touch with Bheem and Lord Ram for Jr. NTR and Ram Charan. The film is set to be one of the most expensive films in Indian Cinema and will be extensively shot in the Amazon Forest. With Mahesh Babu's entry into the world of Pan India cinema, the film is expected to create a massive buzz among the audience.
