Sridevi's 7-Day Fast for Rajinikanth: A Mysterious Visit to Sai Baba Temple Revealed

Rajinikanth and the late actress Sridevi stand as one of the most iconic on-screen duos in Indian cinema, having shared the screen in over 20 films across various languages. Their friendship blossomed through the years, with both actors often expressing mutual admiration in public. Such was the depth of their bond that Sridevi once observed a week-long fast when Rajinikanth fell ill, underscoring the strength of their connection.

In 2011, while filming, Rajinikanth was hospitalized and later admitted to a hospital in Singapore for treatment. Upon hearing the news, his close friend and former co-star, Sridevi, was deeply concerned for Thalaiva’s health.

In her worry, Sridevi made a vow to Shirdi Sai Baba, fasting for seven days in hopes of Rajinikanth's recovery. Sridevi also visited the Sai Baba temple in Pune, offering prayers for his well-being. Thanks to her prayers and the collective wishes of millions of Thalaiva’s fans, Rajinikanth recovered swiftly.
