South Star Ram Charan tests positive for COVID-19, Shares statement

On Tuesday, South superstar Ram Charan took to social media to inform his fans that he has tested positive for coronavirus. 

The actor shared that he is asymptomatic and has decided to quarantine at home. He also requested people who came into close contact with him in the last couple of days to get tested for the novel coronavirus.

Ram Charan shared a statement on Twitter that read: "I have tested positive for COVID-19. No symptoms and quarantined at home. Hope to heal soon and come out stronger.” He added alongside the post: “Request all that have been around me in the past couple of days to get tested. More updates on my recovery soon."

Few days ago, on Christmas, Ram had hosted a party for his family members and close friends which was attended by Allu Arjun, Niharika Konidela, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, Allu Sirish and Allu Bobby, among others. The actor took to social media to share photos from the party.

Meanwhile on the work front, Ram Charan will be seen next SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR along with Jr NTR. The period drama also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and Olivia Morris, and will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, besides other Indian languages.
