A major on-set accident has brought the shoot of The India House to a sudden stop after a water tank unexpectedly burst during filming near Shamshabad, Telangana. The upcoming period film, which marks Ram Charan’s entry into film production, is now under the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
The accident occurred while the team was shooting an important sequence at a specially constructed set outside Hyderabad. According to sources present on location, the tank collapse caused water to rush through the set with force, sweeping through equipment and leaving widespread damage in its wake. Several videos of the incident have surfaced on social media, revealing the chaos as crew members scrambled to protect the gear and salvage parts of the destroyed set.
One assistant cameraman sustained serious injuries, and a few other crew members were also hurt in the process. Immediate first aid was provided on-site, and those injured were rushed to the hospital. While they are now said to be recovering, there has been no official word from the producers or the film unit on the extent of injuries or compensation.

The India House, directed by Ram Vamsi Krishna, is set against the backdrop of 1905 and explores themes of love entangled in the early freedom struggle. Starring Nikhil Siddhartha, Saiee Manjrekar, and Anupam Kher, the film aims to capture an emotional and revolutionary narrative set during colonial-era London. The project was first introduced by Ram Charan last year on social media, sparking interest due to its unique theme and star backing.
This incident has sparked concern among fans and industry watchers alike, with many calling for more safety protocols on sets. For now, the production remains paused, with no new shoot date announced.
