Sonu Sood takes Covid Vaccine; Starts free vaccination drive ‘Sanjeevani’

Actor Sonu Sood emerged as a messiah for hundreds of people during the lockdown. He helped migrant workers to travel back to their homes safely by arranging travel facilities for them. Besides helping migrant workers, Sonu has been offering help to the needy who approach him via social media.

On Wednesday, Sonu received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Apollo Hospital in Amritsar, Punjab.

As the nation faces the second wave of COVID-19, Sonu has come forward with yet another initiative to get people vaccination. He launched `Sanjeevani - A Shot of Life`, a free vaccination drive initiative to encourage people to get vaccinated and raise awareness in the country.

The actor announced the same on his social media handle as he shared a picture of him taking the vaccine dose. Have a look:

In his post, Sonu wrote: “Got my vaccine today and now it's time to get whole of my country vaccinated. Started the biggest vaccination drive "Sanjeevani" which will bring awareness and get our people vaccinated.”

Several other Bollywood actors like Malaika Arora, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Hema Malini, Mohanlal, Jeetendra, Rohit Shetty, Neena Gupta, among others have taken the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination.
