Sonu Sood points out Irony of Lockdown, Takes a Dig at 'Rich, Famous' People for sharing Food Pics Online

The Coronavirus pandemic has brought the entire nation to a standstill. A nationwide lockdown has been imposed by PM Modi to control the spread of the virus. While the lockdown is an essential step, it is causing a financial crisis as all business sectors are stalled and the daily wage workers are hit hard by this.

Amid the coronavirus crisis, actor Sonu Sood shared a note pointing out at the irony of the lockdown. He took a subtle dig at "rich, famous" people for sharing food pictures online, while the poor are thinking about how they will manage their next meal.

In a self-aware note, Sonu wrote: "Irony of this lockdown: A time when rich and famous people share food pictures online, while poor people are thinking how they're gonna manage a meal tomorrow.”

His note is lauded by netizens who supported his views and poured in comments below his post. A user commented, "It's a great irony, they are struggling for survival and rich people searching ways to pass this dark phase despite having innumerable amenities." Another user said, "You stole the words out of my mouth....I have been thinking the same all along." (sic)
