Song Joong-Ki faces harsh criticism from netizens and fans of actress and ex-wife Song Hye Kyo for THIS reason

Fans of Korean actors and idols can be very unforgiving. Descendants Of The Sun actors Song Joong-Ki and Song Hye Kyo fell in love, had a quick courtship before they tied the knot. Fans all over the world were super thrilled for the gorgeous couple. However, the marriage ran into choppy waters soon and he announced divorce in 2019. People have not been able to forget this despite the two keeping the real reason away from the public. Now, Song Joong-Ki is being trolled by fans of Song Hye Kyo for this reason. His latest film, Bogota: City Of The Lost failed to succeed at the Korean box office. It could only draw four lakh people, and its earnings are far below the break-even point of three million. This is his second dud at the box office after My Name Is Loh Kwan.

It had clashed with Hyun Bin’s Harbin at the box office. The historical period drama about rebellion has got good numbers. At a recent event, Song Joong-Ki teared up saying how Korean films were not doing well at the domestic box office. He said still actors worked hard to bring happiness to fans. Supporters of Song Hye Kyo reminded him that her latest movie, Dark Nuns is off to a smashing start. It also stars Jeon Yeo-been who was his leading lady in Vincenzo. The show was a blockbuster and their pairing was superb.

Many admirers of Song Hye Kyo are still fuming over how he announced the separation when she was travelling abroad. Post that, stories emerged of how she was not keen to have kids and so on. Her fans still feel he could be responsible for the countless articles that questioned Song Hye Kyo. This is pure conjecture and quite unfair towards Joong-Ki but that is how it is.

Song Hye Kyo was superb in The Glory that came on Netflix in 2023. She is now doing a series with Gong Yoo titled Show Business. Song Joong-Ki is also back with a drama My Youth the shoot of which is on in South Korea.
