Sonam Kapoor is excited to step into Rekha's shoes for "Khoobsurat" remake, but at the same time she is a bit scared how she would recreate the same charm and spirit of the character.

"I am scared because the whole point of the film is to capture the spirit of that character because the story has been completely changed. She did it so beautifully and I hope I can do even 10 percent of what she did," Sonam said here in an interview.

Sonam also plans to make it contemporary.

"But at the same time, I hope to make it more current...like how young girls are right now. Let's see how that works out," she said.

The 27-year-old describes it a complete chick-flick.

"It is going to be very 'Mills & Boon'ish. It's for girls, I make movies for girls, it's a chick-flick," Sonam said.

Directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, "Khoobsurat" also starred Rakesh Roshan, Ashok Kumar and Dina Pathak.

The remake is being produced by Sonam's father, actor Anil Kapoor, and will be directed by Shashanka Ghosh.
