'Slumdog Millionaire' actor Rubina turns hairstylist & make-up artist

There is an array of fascinating stories when it comes to the entertainment world over the years that we have witnessed. One such saga has been that of actor Rubina Ali Qureshi. While her actual name might not ring a bell, her role of a playing the young Latika in the Oscar-winning film, Slumdog Millionaire definitely will. Ali Qureshi gained overnight popularity with her role in the Oscar-winning film.

And while she continued to act in a few projects post that, she has now grown up and actually lost touch with acting. Interestingly, she has turned a hairstylist and make-up artist and completely stopped acting. In fact, she has opened her own salon in Mumbai with the aforementioned services.

She talked about it with ETimes as she said, “Days passed by… aur umra bhi badhti gayi. Nothing was coming my way. I wanted to find myself a secure job so that I can feed myself and don’t depend upon others. Initially, I wanted to be an air hostess and then I developed this inclination towards being a beautician, which I finally took up. I want to grow and be better at my job. I would like to turn into a celebrity hair and makeup artist in the near future."

Even then, she mentioned she would look at acting projects if something interesting comes up and she would even like to be in Bigg Boss if offered.
