Chennai, Nov 2 (IANS) Kamala Ganesan, the 68-year-old wife of thespian Sivaji Ganesan, died at a private hospital here Friday morning, doctors said.
Kamala Ammal and Sivaji Ganesan were married on May 1, 1952, their wedding graced by both M.G. Ramachandran and M. Karunanidhi, who later became bitter political rivals.
Sivaji Ganesan, a star of the Tamil cinema, died in 2001.
Kamala had been ill for some time and died due to blockage of the pulmonary artery, hospital sources said. She leaves behind two sons -- actor Prabhu and actor-producer Ramkumar - and two daughters.
