Sidharth Malhotra has high hopes from Ittefaq

Actor Sidharth Malhotra has been finding it hard to give a hit in the year 2017 due to his last two films. Though he has worked in the thriller and light-hearted films, the actor has not managed to give blockbuster as yet. His last film that worked well was Kapoor and Sons (2016). Post that Baar Dekho and A Gentleman tanked at the box-office.

A close source says, "He (Sidharth) has high hopes from Ittefaq. After too much of promotions for A Gentleman, he thought the film will do well both with the collection and the audience but, things went down. Just a month and it has been aired on Television. Apparently, the actor was in two minds when the makers of Ittefaq decided not to promote the film through events or interviews but, eventually, he got the strategy of chopping the process."

"Now that the trailer is trending on top and being loved and talked about he is hoping that the film will definitely do great and might change his level of stardom," concludes the source.
