Shweta Tiwari: I don’t owe any justification or clarification to anyone, I know what’s good for my children

Shweta Tiwari is a popular face in the television industry and is currently on to her third reality show after having participated in Bigg Boss and Nach Baliye. Talking about the same, Shweta told The Times of India how she has been a part of all kinds of reality shows. Given that the show is unique and gives a chance to face the fears is why she decided to participate in the show. The actress further added how her daughter told her that it might be too late for her to do the show in the future if not now.

Talking about keeping up with her kids Palak and Reyansh while she is away in Cape town, Shweta says that she sleeps with their video calls on and they are in constant touch so that they wake up to see each other. She adds how they talk every opportunity they get and she talks to her daughter before every stunt and post it to tell her how she did.

While many are struggling to find work, Shweta admits that these are difficult times after all and while she is grateful to have spent time with her family, she also realised how it is important to continue working. She added how once work stops, everything else stops too. She said, ''Your income may stop, but expenses don’t. You have to pay the EMIs and other expenses. So, it was very important to work. I thank my stars that today I have work and I can look after my kids.”

About doing a daily soap, she says that when she is offered a show, she looks into the character graph to ensure that it is interesting and she is not bored before the show comes to an end. If something interests her, she will take it up, irrespective of it being a positive or negative character.

A lot has also been going on in terms of her spat with former husband Abhinav Kohli who accused her of abandoning son Reynash in a hotel room. Further, he also stated how he was not allowed to meet him. To that, she said, ''Look, everyone faces some problem in their life. Ups and downs are a part of life. But if you keep your goals, priorities and responsibilities aside and run after those problems or those creating those problems, then you will feel lost in life. My priority is my kids. I will focus on them and keep working because only that’s going to help me in the long run. I don’t owe any justification or clarification to anyone because I know what’s good for my children. No one knows it better than me. I know how to keep my kids physically and mentally healthy, give them a better life and take care of them.''

She added further how her life is not going on the basis of people's right or wrong, her life is going on according to her right and wrong, one where the well-being of her kids is kept in mind. She mentioned that she is dedicated to her work and her kids and that is why she is working and forging ahead. She mentioned that if people want to forget their responsibilities and problems and make her the center of their lives, they are most welcome. However, she added that there is no space for people in her life apart from her kids and her family.
