Singer Rohanpreet Singh has come forward in support of his wife, Neha Kakkar, after her Melbourne concert controversy. Taking to Instagram, he urged fans not to judge anyone without knowing the full truth. Neha, too, broke her silence and asked her followers to ‘wait for the truth’.
On March 27, Rohanpreet posted a statement in Punjabi on his Instagram, advising people not to form opinions without understanding both sides of the story. His note, when translated, read, “I want to share something with humility. Until we know the reality and both perspectives, we should not judge anyone. This is something we must apply in our lives.” He further added in English, “Huge respect to my wife and band, who went on stage despite so many difficulties and chaos.” He ended his message with a folded hands emoji.

She shared an Instagram story stating, “Wait for the truth, you’ll regret judging me so quickly.” She added a sad emoji but did not elaborate on the reason behind her late arrival at the concert.
The controversy erupted when Neha arrived three hours late for her performance in Melbourne. The delay left the audience furious, with many demanding that she return. Overwhelmed by emotions, Neha addressed the crowd with an apology. She said, “Guys, you are really sweet! You have been patient. Itni der se aap log wait kar rahe ho. I hate it, maine life mein kabhi kisi ko wait nahi karwaya hai. Aap itni der se wait kar rahe ho, I’m so sorry! It means a lot to me. I will remember this evening forever. Aaj aap log mere liye itna kimti time nikaal kar aaye ho. I will make sure that I will make you all dance."
However, not everyone was convinced. While some supported her, others criticized her, shouting, “Go back! Rest in your hotel," and “This is not India, you’re in Australia.” One voice even mocked, “Very good acting! This is not Indian Idol. You’re not performing with kids.” Despite the backlash, Rohanpreet’s support and Neha’s statement suggest that there is more to the story yet to unfold.
