Shruti Haasan wishes 'babpuji' Kamal Haasan on 68th birthday with his childhood pic

On Monday, veteran actor Kamal Haasan turned 68. The actor who enjoys a massive fan base has been showered with love and wishes from all around the globe. Celebrities including Prakash Raj, Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna, R Sarath Kumar also took to their social media handles and wished the legendary actor.

Earlier, Kamal Haasan's daughter Shruti Haasan wished him on her Instagram stories. 

She shared a monochrome unseen , childhood picture of her dad and wrote, "Happy birthday bapuji", with a cake and evil eye emoticon. Kid Kamal was seen sporting a quirky shirt and smiled for the lens.

Actor-politician Prakash Raj shared a happy picture with Kamal on Twitter and wrote, “Thank you for always inspiring us…wish you the best on your day…our dearest @ikamalhaasan…”

In 1960, Kamal made his acting debut with the  Tamil film Kalathur Kannamma. He has acted in a number of movies, including Dasavatharam, Moondram Pirai, Hey Ram, and Apoorva Raagangal.

Talking about their professional front, Kamal Haasan will next be seen in  Shankar's Indian 2. Bobby Simhaa, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, and Siddharth all have significant roles in the movie. In addition, after 35 years apart, he will work with director Mani Ratnam once more on an untitled new Tamil movie.  

Meanwhile, Shruti will next be seen in the Prashanth Neel directorial 'Salaar, which is produced under the banner of Hombale films. The movie will also star Prabhas as the male lead.

The theatrical premiere of Salaar was initially planned for April 14, 2022, however it was postponed due to production issues brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. The movie is now set for a 28 September 2023 theatrical release.
