Shruti Haasan gives a BEFITTING reply to her body shamers!

Actress Shruti Haasan has been prepping for her upcoming film. Reports in media had it that the she has gained weight to get into the skin of the character of the film. Shruti had recently underwent a lip job for which she was heavily trolled on the social media.

Memes and trolls about her lip surgery began making rounds on the internet. However, the actress is unfettered by such negativity surrounding her.

In a recent interview with a leading daily, Shruti took a dig at her body shamers. She said, "It's my face, my body. What I do with it is nobody's business. What people write about me on social media does not bother me. I am not answerable to anyone." (sic)

The actress futher added that, "Looking good is part of our job, but the unnecessary chatter about weight must be filtered. Maintaining an 'acceptable' figure for an actress is impossible. We are human. We gain and lose weight for roles and sometimes naturally too." (sic)

Though Shruti has not confirmed about her lip surgery to the media she is very particular about making her preferences.

Shruti's upcoming film  'Behen Hogi Teri', helmed by Ajay Pannalal, also stars Rajkummar Rao. It is slated to hit the silver screens on this Friday.
