After all the legal battles and hurdles, Bhool Chuk Maaf is finally released in theatres today and seems to be having a possibly good start. As seen in the trailer, the film revolves around a small-town boy who is caught in a time loop on to his Haldi Day, unable to catch hold of what's happening and not able to reach his wedding day.
Featuring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in pivotal roles, the film was highly awaited for its humour, story and, of course, the songs. And now that the film is out, we found out that apart from 'Chor Bazaari', the film has yet another song remake incorporated, which we didn't know about.
The song 'Allah Meharban', which was used in the montage sequences of the film Ghanchakkar starring Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan, is used as it is in Bhool Chuk Maaf. While there has been a constant debate about whether old songs should be remade or reused in new films, this one will come in as a surprise and a fact not known to many. The song is sung by Amit Trivedi and Divya Kumar with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

An excerpt from India Forum's review for film reads, "We have seen this template. Several times. The small-town setting. Rajkummar Rao and his perpetually alive comic (Stree, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Roohi, Stree 2). Humor in abundance, social commentary neatly tucked in, and of course, the climactic monologue that arrives like a grand closing act. You know the drill. And therefore, to rise above these expected tropes and still deliver a film that feels fresh, funny, and full-bodied, is not a walk in the park. Yet Bhool Chuk Maaf dares to do exactly that, and manages to cross the finish line, though not without a few stumbles."
The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films and co-produced by Sharda Karki Jalota and has been directed by Karan Sharma.
