Bhool Chuk Maaf Box Office Collection Day 3: Rajkummar Rao's film sees strong sunday, earns this much

Rajkummar Rao's "Bhool Chuk Maaf" is performing well at the box office. After three days, the film earned a strong Rs 10 crore on its first Sunday. Despite competition and mixed reviews, the movie is slowly gaining traction with audiences. "Bhool Chuk Maaf," also starring Wamiqa Gabbi, has a total opening weekend collection of Rs 26.05 crore.

The film, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, opened with Rs 7 crore on Friday, increased to Rs 9.5 crore on Saturday, and continued its growth with Rs 9.55 crore on Sunday.

Sunday saw "Bhool Chuk Maaf" achieve its highest attendance in Chennai, where theaters recorded 85% occupancy. Conversely, cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chandigarh reported consistent but lower attendance, with approximately 25% occupancy.

Karan Sharma's romantic comedy, "Bhool Chuk Maaf," boasts a talented cast alongside Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, including Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Raghubir Yadav, and Jay Thakkar. The film follows Ranjan Tiwari (Rajkummar Rao), a 25-year-old from Banaras deeply in love with Titli Mishra (Wamiqa Gabbi). They plan to elope, but Titli hesitates at the last moment.

The story complicates when Titli's stern father (Zakir Hussain) sets a condition: Ranjan must secure a government job within two months to marry her.

The film has received mixed reviews from critics. An excerpt from India Forum's review states, We have seen this template. Several times. The small-town setting. Rajkummar Rao and his perpetually alive comic (Stree, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Roohi, Stree 2). Humor in abundance, social commentary neatly tucked in, and of course, the climactic monologue that arrives like a grand closing act. You know the drill. And therefore, to rise above these expected tropes and still deliver a film that feels fresh, funny, and full-bodied, is not a walk in the park. Yet Bhool Chuk Maaf dares to do exactly that, and manages to cross the finish line, though not without a few stumbles.

Dinesh Vijan produces the film under Maddock Films, with Sharda Karki Jalota as co-producer, and Karan Sharma as director. The film, directed by Karan Sharma, also features a strong supporting cast, including Seema Pahwa, Raghubir Yadav, Anubha Fatehpuria, and Jay Thakkar.
