Shraddha Kapoor Talks About Female Actors Replaced in Franchises

After Street Dancer 3D, Shraddha Kapoor is gearing up for the release of her next film, Baaghi 3. Directed by Ahmed Khan, Baaghi 3 is the third sequel to Baaghi and Baaghi 2. While Tiger Shroff was the part of all the three series, Shraddha was replaced by Disha Patani in Baaghi 2.

During the recent promotions, Shraddha was asked about the practice of female actors getting replaced in franchises, while the male lead actor remains consistent. To which, the actress said, 

I think it's absolutely right. But I also feel that whatever is meant to come to you, comes to you, and whatever is not meant to be your's will not be yours. I feel if I'm cast in a particular film and that is meant to be for me then there's something that I'll bring to the table that will add value to those films. It's actually even on the actor if they want to do it.There are a lot of things that don't come to the fore that a certain actor or actress may not want to do that particular film; that also happens. So, I did this film because it's adding value to me and I believe it's vice and versa. It's the character that I've never played before. For me as an actor, it was quite challenging.

Earlier, Varun Dhawan had revealed that Shraddha was really upset that she was not the first choice for Street Dancer 3D, as Katrina Kaif was first approached for the dance project. 

Speaking of Baaghi 3, the film also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Ankita Lokhande and is slated to release on 6 March 2020.
