Gautam says, "The truth is that I was not tailor-made for this profession. I am just another regular guy like one of you. Coming from Delhi, I had no aspirations to become an actor initially. I was about to get into my father's business of stock brokerage but destiny called and I moved to Mumbai. I have had my share of hardships and I actually started acting to pay my rent, but was soon sucked into the creativity of the profession and never looked back! 'From Lucky to Saraswatichandra to Mahakumbh, It's been one hell of a journery!"
