Shoaib Ibrahim asks fans to pray as he reveals why Dipika Kakar stayed off early cancer vlog

Shoaib Ibrahim recently shared an emotional vlog where he confirmed that his wife, actor Dipika Kakar, has been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. The actor, holding back tears throughout the video, called it the most difficult phase of their lives. The couple opened up about their emotional and medical journey while asking for privacy and prayers.

The revelation has sent a wave of concern among fans. Dipika, known for her television role in Sasural Simar Ka, revealed that she had visited the hospital for pain in the upper abdomen. What followed was a shocking discovery — a tennis ball-sized tumour in her liver, later confirmed as stage 2 malignant cancer.“It has been one of the most difficult times we have seen and experienced,” she said. “Walking into the hospital just for pain and coming back with such a diagnosis... no one is prepared for this.”

While Dipika appeared in the video with Shoaib, the actor confessed that he had initially resisted the idea of featuring her in the vlog. His concern wasn’t without reason. “I never wanted to take Dipika on the vlog until she gets recovered completely,” Shoaib said. “As you all know, some people on the internet make weird thumbnails. Hence, I told Dipika that people are passing statements about you. So it was better to take her on the vlog and reveal the truth.”

The couple eventually decided to address it directly to avoid unnecessary rumours and misinterpretations. Shoaib added that this phase, though painful, is not something unusual in life. “Still, I believe every person faces such phases at some point. For us, this is probably the toughest one. Yet, we are equally grateful to Allah.”

Dipika, who is still struggling with cold and congestion, echoed his faith. “Hearing the word ‘cancer’ is terrifying, both for the patient and for their family. But we’re staying strong and keeping faith,” she said.

Doctors have scheduled her surgery, though it’s been slightly delayed due to her ongoing cough. However, there is some relief. Shoaib revealed that the recent scan reports have shown no sign of the disease spreading to other organs. “Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, the scan report came out clear. The virus or its cells have not spread anywhere else. It is confined to the tumour. Once the tumour is surgically removed, Inshallah, things will get better,” he said.

Despite the shocking diagnosis, the couple is drawing strength from the medical team's confidence and the support pouring in from their family and followers. Shoaib added, “The doctors are confident that it can be cured. We are putting our complete trust in them.”

Dipika also took to Instagram earlier to inform her fans about the situation and thanked everyone for their prayers. She assured her supporters that she is determined to fight and come out stronger. “I am all positive, determined to face this and walk out stronger, InshAllah,” she wrote.

Shoaib has been consistently updating their followers and requesting prayers. He said, “I request everyone to pray for Dipika. I would like to thank all our fans and well-wishers for sending strength. We will strongly overcome this. Dipika is very strong.”

As Dipika awaits her surgery, the couple continues to maintain a hopeful outlook, sharing their journey with the public while also guarding their emotional space.
