Dipika Kakar’s sister-in-law Saba recalls actress’s surgery: 'Bohot mushkil tha jis din…'

A few days back, Sasural Simar Ka actress Dipika Kakar shared a devastating news of suffering from stage 2 liver cancer. Following severe stomach pain, doctors found a tumor "the size of a tennis ball" in her liver, later confirmed as cancerous. The news has deeply shocked her fans and well-wishers. Shoaib Ibrahim recently shared an update in his vlog, noting Dipika's improving health. Simultaneously, Shoaib's sister, Saba Ibrahim, offered a glimpse of her newborn's Aqeeqah ceremony in a recent vlog. She also detailed the precautions Dipika will be taking following her surgery.

Shoaib Ibrahim has been managing work and family responsibilities while Dipika Kakar is hospitalized. He recently attended his nephew's Aqeeqah ceremony, which, according to Saba Ibrahim, took place before Dipika's hospitalization. Saba also shared that the week Dipika was admitted for surgery was particularly challenging for the family.

Saba added, "Bohot mushkil tha jis din bhabhi ki surgery thi. Lekin aap mei se ek ek insan ka dil se thank you (It was very difficult when it was Dipika's surgery. But I want to thank you each and every one)."

Saba shared that Dipika Kakar's surgery was successful, and she has been discharged from the ICU, thanks to everyone's prayers. Saba spoke with Dipika post-surgery, expressing relief. This Eid was special for them due to their newborn's first Eid, though they opted for a smaller celebration.

Saba also mentioned their plans for a simple naming ceremony for their newborn.

Saba Ibrahim added, "Bhabhi ki itni badi surgery hai. Voh ghar aake bhi ghar par hi rahegi kuch din. Unko infection ka dar rehta hai, unko bohot bacha ke chalna hai. Tab bhi voh upar nahi aa paayegi (Dipika had a big surgery. When she comes home, she will still stay at home. She will have fear of infection. She will have to be safe, so it will not be possible for her to come up)."

Last month, Dipika revealed that she is battling stage 2 liver cancer. The television star, known for her role in Sasural Simar Ka, shared the heartbreaking update through an emotional Instagram note. After suffering intense stomach pain, doctors discovered a tumour “the size of a tennis ball" in her liver, which was later confirmed to be cancerous.

Shoaib Ibrahim updated fans on June 6 that Dipika Kakar had been moved out of the ICU following her stage 2 liver cancer surgery, which took place on June 3.
