Shivangi Joshi to play grown-up Anandi in 'Balika Vadhu 2'

Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has witnessed an enviable journey to say the least. The show is currently the longest-running drama in the Hindi TV space and continues to be stronger than ever. What stared with Karan Mehra and Hina Khan moved on to Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi and is now taken over by Harshad Chopda, Pranali Rathod and Karishma Sawant.

And while we are talking about this transition, we cannot forget the special imapct that Joshi and Khan created during their time in the show of over five years. But it is now time to move on to newer and greener pastures not only for the show but for both Joshi and Khan. And it seems that Joshi has already bagged her next big project as recent reports suggest.

A report in ETimes TV suggest that after a lot of contemplation as to who will play the grown-up Anandi in Balika Vadhu 2 as the show heads for a leap, the makers have roped in Joshi to play the character. It’s the second instalment of a popular show, and we are leaving no stone unturned to get the perfect cast in place.

The time leap is scheduled to take place by the end of November and might begin airing right away in December. Currently, child artists Shreya Patel and Vansh Sayani are currently seen playing the central characters in the show.
