Shivaji's 'Welcome' has 18 comedians

Chennai, Oct 20 (IANS) As many as 18 comedians have been roped in to be a part of Shivaji-starrer Telugu romantic-comedy "Welcome", releasing this Diwali.

"The film is going to be an out-and-out comedy entertainer. We have cast so many comedians to ensure that the audiences walk out tired of laughing," director Manohar told IANS.

Actor Shivaji, known for his neat family comedy entertainers, has been cast opposite Ritu Kaur in the film, which also features Allari Subhashini, Maheshwari, AVS, Chitram Seenu, Tagubothu Ramesh, RK, Dhanraj, Prithviraj and Surya.

"We wanted to make a film that will impress all types of people and 'Welcome' is proof to it. Comedy in the film is not slapstick, but situational and unadulterated," Shivaji told IANS.

The film's music is composed by Swaraj Hedide, while its cinematography is by Jagadish Naidu and art direction by Vijaya Krishna.
