Shiny Doshi CONFIRMS being approached to lead Hiba Nawab’s Jhanak: ‘Do NOT want to be part of show that..’

Shiney Doshi, last seen in Star Plus’ Pandya Store has been a popular name on television for the past many years. The actress, who essayed the character of Dhara in her last show Pandya Store earned widespread name and recognition for her stint on the show and the show remained a constant on the TRP charts too.

While fans of the actress have been eagerly awaiting her comeback, India Forums had an exclusively informed about the actress being approached for Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja’s Jhanak. Our sources told us that Shiny has been approached to lead the show as the show heads for another leap. The source told us, “Jhanak has been heading for a leap and Shiny has been approached to be the new titular face.”

Well, we reached out to Shiny to know the truth behind these reports and the actress, confirming our report, said, “Yes, I had been approached. You know how casting calls are.”

However, the actress further mentioned that she is not doing the show. “I am not taking it up and I have refused because I do not want to be a part of a show which is heading for a leap and then a new story is launched. I rather wait for something fresh to come my way.”

While there have been no reports about Hiba Nawab or Krushal Ahuja calling it quits, our sources tell us that Shiny did recieve a call.

For those who do not know, Jhanak sees Hiba Nawab, Krushal Ahuja and Chandni Sharma in the titular roles. The show started off pretty well initially but has been registering disappointingly low TRPs for the past many months. Given its regressive story line and a lack of anything fresh in the story, reports also suggested that the show has been under the scanner for a while. Earlier, both Hiba and Krushal were also set to be replaced from the show, however, owing to the ongoing IPL season, the leap was postponed and both the actors were eventually retained.
