Shefali Jariwala Death: Varun Dhawan requests media to tone down relentless coverage of grief

Yesterday, the last rites of Shefali Jariwala took place at the Oshiwara Crematorium. There was relentless coverage from the time the body was brought home from the Cooper Hospital to the last rites. Visuals of Parag Tyagi kissing the actress’ lifeless body went viral as her mother wept inconsolably. The media also stopped celeb friends who looked equally distraught. Shefali Jariwala died at 42 from a reported cardiac arrest. However, a post-mortem has happened and Mumbai Police will soon release the findings. Given how fit and health conscious she was; people are in shock over the death. However, Shefali Jariwala suffered from epilepsy from the time she was 15.

Varun Dhawan took to Instagram requesting friends in the media to tone down coverage of celebrity deaths. He said such news did not benefit anyone. He also said even people who come for last rites/paying respects feel uncomfortable when cameras are shoved down their faces. Varun Dhawan said he was sure no celeb would want their final journey to be covered in such an aggressive manner. Paras Chhabra had an ugly war of words with some members of the press. He said this was no time to speak about memories or the pain.

Shefali Jariwala’s husband Parag Tyagi folded his hands in front of the media. He said it would be very painful if a mockery or TRP drama was made of the same. Tyagi requested everyone to pray for his Pari. He said he wants her soul to rest in peace. The media was outside her house since morning.

The Kaanta Laga girl became a sensation at the age of 19. She was first married to Harmeet of Meet Bros but the marriage did not last long. The actress got recognition in Bigg Boss 13. The whole squad of the show mourned her demise.
