Sonakshi Sinha is getting mired in controversies one after another. After Mukesh Khanna’s comment over the Ramayana row, the actress was trolled by filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri for allegedly shooting amid the lockdown.
Vivek shared a picture of Sonakshi and questioned: “Who shoots in such times?” Little did he know, the picture was from 2019, and Sonakshi took to Twitter to slam the filmmaker for spreading fake news.
She also sought help from Mumbai Police as she tweeted: “Excuse me @MumbaiPolice , @OfficeofUT what is the procedure to stop people from spreading rumors and fake news at a time like this? Asking for a responsible citizen, sitting at home, practicing social distancing and NOT shooting - ME”
This does not end here as Sonakshi’s father and actor Shatrughan Sinha has now intervened in the matter and also hit back at Agnihotri for his ‘unverified information.’
Taking a sly dig at Agnihotri, Sinha told Bollywood Hungama:
Kahan shooting? Kaun si shooting? Sonakshi has been home with us throughout since the lockdown. Hum log ke ghar mein koi pagal nahin hai. No one is stepping out at a time when our beloved Prime Minister, the real action hero, Modiji has very wisely and sternly asked everyone to stay indoors.-
He also jokes:
If Sonakshi has been spotted then it must be her double. It is said all of us have an exact duplicate somewhere in the world. Looks like Sonakshi’s duplicate is right here in Mumbai.-
Shatrughan Sinha signed off with a stern warning as he stated :
Misinformation is the biggest monster in these difficult times of the virus. Don’t spread unverified information. Things can get very difficult for you.-
