Shaleen Malhotra's first Lohri celebration post marriage!

As the much loved festival of Punjabis, Lohri is being celebrated with fun and frolic, we speak to actor Shaleen Malhotra who is celebrating his first Lohri post marriage. Shaleen was last seen in Channel V's O Gujariya : Badlein Chal Duniya and is on a sabbatical these days.

Shaleen says, "Lohri is a very important festival of Punjabis. Basically this festival is celebrated in Punjab because on this day, the seeds of food grains are sowed and hence the celebrations. As it is my first Lohri after marriage, so there will be a lot of fun at my home and we have invited all the near ones and dear ones. My wife has already gone to my native and I will join her today there. As it is my first Lohri with my wife Diksha, I don't know all the rituals and I am not sure whether we have to gift something to our respective spouses on this occasion or not. So I will ask my mom and if she says yes then I will definitely buy something special for my wife."

He further adds, "On this day we lit a born fire and we put Revdi, Makka (Popcorn) and groundnut. After the fire is extinguished, the remaining is distributed in the form of prasad."
