Shahid Lost Cool when Ranveer Won and he was Denied an Award; Varun had to handle the situation

NO AWARD: NO PERFORMANCE, says Shahid Kapoor!

Shahid Kapoor canceled his pre committed performance at the last minute when he came to know that it’s not him but instead Ranveer Singh who is winning the best actor award at the recently held award ceremony. 

Known to be one of the most temperamental actors in the business, Shahid Kapoor left the organizers of a recent award ceremony in a big soup when he at last minute cancelled his pre scheduled performance at a recently held award function. 

At last moment, the members of the awarding body had to find some other actor of Shahid's league and then they approached Varun Dhawan who agreed to help.

A source close to the development shared, "Shahid Kapoor was supposed to perform at the award function but the minute he realised that Ranveer Singh is winning the award as the most popular actor for 'Gully Boy' he threw a major tantrum and walked out of the ceremony. A lot of people tried explaining that Ranveer’s performance was deserving and not biased. However, Shahid heard no one."

To handle the situation the awarding body approached Varun Dhawan who agreed to help them and acted as a saviour.
